Event summary:
The Mayor of Georgetown was on hand to support physical activity as a component of healthy lifestyles at the second annual Second Sunday event. The University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service partnered with the Scott County Public Library, Georgetown College and the Scott County Health Department to put on the local event. Both our Mayor and County Judge were in attendance. We closed 1.8 miles of Georgetown streets.

"The Cooperative Extension Service is ideally positioned to facilitate a project like 2nd Sunday that requires grassroots organization at the county level combined with statewide coordination. I am delighted that we are a key leader of this partnership that is so visibly promoting health and wellness for the Commonwealth."
