Event summary:

Location: The Pendleton County Athletic Park and Fairgrounds.

Activities: A walk at the local athletic park for families. This also was an event used to promote the Get Moving Kentucky Families on the Move program we are piloting. All participants walked two miles. Had a mini lesson on physical activity and door prizes were given.

"The Cooperative Extension Service is ideally positioned to facilitate a project like Second Sunday that requires grassroots organization at the county level combined with statewide coordination. I am delighted that we are a key leader of this partnership that is so visibly promoting health and wellness for the Commonwealth."
