Event summary:
In Paducah, people came out in the street to bicycle, walk, rollerblade, run, push strollers, and exercise, on a sunny, windy, and cool fall afternoon — Sunday, October 11, 2009. For the 5th Sunday since starting the program in August of 2008, the city of Paducah closed 17 blocks of Broadway to cars for a Sunday afternoon.

"The Cooperative Extension Service is ideally positioned to facilitate a project like Second Sunday that requires grassroots organization at the county level combined with statewide coordination. I am delighted that we are a key leader of this partnership that is so visibly promoting health and wellness for the Commonwealth."
