Recap of 2010 event

Event summary:

On October 10, Maysville-Mason County agencies, organizations, the city and county governments and law enforcement agencies joined together to close 2nd Street and middle and lower Market streets in downtown Maysville for a fun-filled afternoon of games and activities for all ages. Activities included Zumba and Zumbatronic demonstrations sponsored by Primary Plus, the YMCA and Buffalo Trace District Health Department, Fireman Bucket Brigade sponsored by the Fire Department, Playground games sponsored by the NAACP, Parachute games and soccer sponsored by the YMCA, a radar run sponsored by the Maysville Police Department, an obstacle course, volleyball and more. A “Self-Propelled Parade’ kicked off the event at the Simon Kenton Bridge. Participants walked, jogged, biked, skated, rode their scooter and walked their dog in the parade.

Event summary:

Location: Downtown Maysville

Activities: walking tours of Maysville, bike rides at local nature reserve, scavenger hunts of historic monuments and buildings. Local businesses, churches, Gateway Museum Center, the Russell Theater, and the Underground Railroad Museum were open.
