Recap of 2010 event
Event summary:
Get up and get moving! That was the challenge the Northern Kentucky Cooperative Extension Family and Consumer Sciences Agents gave toeveryone in the eight-county northern Kentucky area. Challenge 10-10-10 ran from September 1 to October 10, 2010. Those who completed and log 10 physical activities during the challenge, and submitted their completed report were eligible for a number or prizes.
One grand prize of an overnight stay and breakfast for two at General Butler State Park was awarded to an individual whose name was drawn at random from all who complete the challenge. Eight iPod Shuffles and eight Living Well Books were awarded with one participant drawn at random from each county.
Challenge 10-10-10 is designed to motivate people to get out, be active, and discover all the area has to offer. Individuals might choose to walk, swim, run, bike, or visit a gym. All physical activities count from active gardening to golf without a cart.
Recap of 2009 event
Event summary:
Crescent Avenue was closed in Erlanger. Activities included kids games, gymnastics, corn hole, ladder golf, sidewalk chalk games, walking and bike riding opportunities on closed road. Other activities held at the library included kids games, inflatable slide, 4-H rabbit club, gymnastics, and dance and senior exercise.
