Recap of 2009 event

Event summary:
It was a beautiful day and we had it chock full of activities. We had the 1-mile walk followed by yoga, karate demo, a bike rodeo, two old fashioned games (sack races, hoola hoop, and jump rope), zumba, body recall, fastest kid in town races, volleyball, and other activities.

Comments:
One person commented, "This is more of what we need in Carroll County. I certainly hope that we can continue with more walking campaigns and days of good old fashioned physical activity."

"The Cooperative Extension Service is ideally positioned to facilitate a project like 2nd Sunday that requires grassroots organization at the county level combined with statewide coordination. I am delighted that we are a key leader of this partnership that is so visibly promoting health and wellness for the Commonwealth."
