Recap of 2010 event

Event summary:

Location: Downtown Bardwell on Front Street

Activities included: Walking, biking, Hoopercise, Geocaching scavenger hunt, door prizes, free blood pressure checks, free bike helmets, parachute games, cornhole tournament. inflatable for kids to jump in.

It is estimated that those that participated in the geocaching scavenger hunt walked 4,73 miles total.

Recap of 2009 event

Event summary:

1) Went to local gymnasium where a loyal group of walkers are. Posted a poster and sign up sheet in advance, where people signed up for their t-shirts. Everyone on Oct. 9 that walked or used the workout room received t-shirts.

2) Sponsored the cross country team on Sat. Oct. 10 at their meet. They each received t-shirts.

3) Held "walk with a buddy" morning with the Carlisle County senior citizens. Gave information about the importance of physical activity and its benefits. Since it was raining, we then walked around the perimeter of the center.
