Event summary:
Tour of Environmental and Education site (walking trail), volleyball, corn hole, horse shoes, dancing mat, and line dancing. Our Environmental and Education site has not been utilized very well because few people knew of its existence. Now over 40 more people know about it and that it can be used by the public for a walking trail.

Comments:
Our County Judge Executive in Ballard County, Vicki Viniard , said, "We knew we had to start somewhere and even though we had a smaller turnout than expected, we will do this again and again because we know the message we are sending is an important one."

"The Cooperative Extension Service is ideally positioned to facilitate a project like Second Sunday that requires grassroots organization at the county level combined with statewide coordination. I am delighted that we are a key leader of this partnership that is so visibly promoting health and wellness for the Commonwealth."

Dean, UK College of Agriculture
