Monthly bike rides take place on the 2nd Sunday of every month. Police will escort bikers on city streets to a different trail and/or park destination each month. All ages and levels welcome. Children under 12 must ride on a tandem bike with a parent.
The existing 2nd Sunday statewide event, the second Sunday of October, will continue as an annual event. 2nd Sunday is a day of exploration of all types of physical activity and showcases health initiatives in Lexington and throughout the state.
Upcoming bike rides:
- September 12: 1 p.m., Legacy Trail Ride
Isaac Murphy Memorial Art Garden is located at 3rd Street and Midland Ave.
- November 14: 2 p.m., Cheapside Park, ride to Beaumont Center

Increased visibility for biking in our community. Showcase new cycling infrastructure, new trails and new bike lanes, being built in our parks and roads. Showcase planned cycling infrastructure projects.

Route, distance and speed are moderate enough for bikers of all ability levels to enjoy. Rides will be 10-12 miles, and duration will be approximately two hours from start to finish.

Due to the fact that riders will be sharing open roads with cars, we request a minimum age of 12 years old, unless riding on a tandem bike with a parent.

The rides will cost you nothing. It is absolutely FREE, thanks to the generosity of our sponsors.

If you or your business would like to sponsor a ride, please contact Phil Holoubek at: cbadgolf@aol.com
